3. Amerigo's Grille Restaurant - The Woodlands
Amerigo’s Grille owners Casey and Nancy Kosh have pioneered restaurants in two different North Houston locations. In 1989, Casey and Nancy saw the need for a quality restaurant in the rapidly-growing Spring area. There, they opened Amerigo’s Seafood & Pasta to great success and reviews. In 1994, they looked further north to The Woodlands, another quickly-expanding residential area. With their experience and courage, the Kosh family built what would become the most famous fine-dining establishment on Houston’s north side.

4. Da Marco Italian Restaurant
Newly renovated, Marco Wiles restaurant is still the most exciting place to eat in Houston. The food is daring-with specials like house-made headcheese, its rich jellied coolness set against the tart pop of heirloom-potato salad. And its simple, with the eloquent perfection of a single ravioli with and egg inside. Seafood from whole branzino to sea urchin, is handled with great sensitivity, and the meats (smoky lamb chops scottadito, charred filet with foie gras) acquire depth and texture in the wood-burning oven. 5. Tony Mandola's Gulf Coast Kitchen Restaurant
We take great pride in serving what we think is some of the best food on the Gulf Coast. Everything is homemade fresh in our kitchen daily. Many of our dishes are our Mama’s recipes.
